They almost made it to the Ubisoft E3 2019 press conference without giving any concrete details about the highly anticipated Watch Dogs 3 title, but the leak strikes again.

Watch Dogs Legion

It seems that Amazon UK accidentally listed a game named Watch Dogs Legion, confirming the rumors of the plot of the sequel of Watch Dogs 2. London is now confirmed as the setting of the next game in the Watch Dogs series, which until now was only a rumor. Other outlets have confirmed the news citing internal sources and adding other pieces of information like the use of NPC technology that is causing the delays on the game and reporting that Clint Hocking, the Creative Director of Far Cry 2 is leading this new take on the open-world franchise. All the NPC will have a full backstory created by the AI with a full set of animations, voice over, character traits, and visuals, so you will be able to play as anyone.

According to the information on the Amazon site, Watch Dogs Legion takes place in the near future, in a dystopian London, where the No Deal Brexit has changed the society, politics, technology, and London’s fortunes. Considering that London is one of the Western cities with the highest camera surveillance levels in the world, it totally makes sense to locate in this city the latest scenario for the game. Ubisoft has always made great recreations of the cities in their games, and Chicago and San Francisco didn’t disappoint in the prior games, so it will be interesting to see their take on old Londinium.

Watch Dogs franchise moves to London

I wonder how they imagine the worst-case scenario a few years after a no-deal Brexit. We will have to wait until the Ubisoft conference at this years E3, which is only a few days away. Until then, we are waiting impatiently for more news!
