An annual showcase of PC gaming’s biggest and most interesting developers, catch up on all the major highlights from the event with our PC Gaming Show 2020 recap.

Torchlight III

Now available on Steam Early Access, Perfect World Entertainment and Echtra Games’ Torchlight III took the stage today. Included in this version are the first two acts, which contain a wide variety of quests and boss battles to explore across randomly-generated areas. There are also more than 100,000 pieces of loot to find.

Persona 4 Golden

Originally a PlayStation Vita exclusive, the Persona series makes its PC debut with Atlus’ Persona 4 Golden. Available on Steam starting today, this JRPG is a coming of age story where the protagonist and his friends set off on a wild journey that has been kickstarted by a chain of serial murders. This version will feature Steam achievements and trading cards, Japanese and English voice overs, variable frame rates, and full HD support.

Evil Genius 2

The first gameplay trailer for Rebellion’s Evil Genius 2 was released today at the PC Gaming Show. In this title, players will be able to live out their supervillain dreams by creating their own island lair, amassing a crew of miscreants, fight off secret agents and eventually take off the world.

Humankind

The development team at Amplitude has announced “OpenDev” for Humankind, which allows the community to participate in the development of the title. Beginning today, players will be able to register for a chance to get access to three time-limited scenarios focusing on core elements like exploration, tactical battles, and basic city management.

Godfall

Though it appeared during the PlayStation 5 reveal earlier this week, the first PC gameplay footage of Godfall made its appearance at the PC Gaming Show today. In it, Game Director Keith Lee introduces players to the world of Aperion, tells more about Valorplates, and showcases the fast-paced, loot-driven combat of the title.

Cris Tales

A turn-based indie love letter to classic JRPGs, Modus Games, Dreams Uncorporated, and SYCK’s Cris Tales will launch on November 17, 2020. Today’s showcase video put the spotlight on the protagonist Crisbell’s fight to prevent her homeland’s fiery demise from the menacing Empress. To go alongside this trailer, a newly updated demo on both Steam and GOG will introduce a new, mini Colosseum experience.

In Sound Mind

The psyche-bending psychological horror of Modus Games and We Create Stuff’s In Sound Mind will launch for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC in 2021. An eerie first-person horror experience, players will enter the bizarre memories of a therapist as they attempt to navigate the effects of an experimental chemical. Along the way, players will contend with threats prowling in their minds, solve puzzles and battle haunting enemies.

Unexplored 2

An ambitious roguelite action-RPG, Big Sugar and Epic Games’ Unexplored 2 will feature an advanced world, quest and level generation, gorgeous graphics, and an orchestral soundtrack. A closed beta will begin later this summer – all those interested can sign up here.

Remnant: From the AShes “Subject 2923” DLC

Perfect World Entertainment and Gunfire Games announced today that the final DLC for Remnant: From the Ashes, Subject 2923, will launch on August 20, 2020. This brand new campaign mode will have players discovering the origins of ‘The Dreamers’ and how they connect to the dreaded Root. New zones, bosses, and quests will be included, along with a host of new weapons and modifications.

DwarfHeim

Players will be able to build, defend, mine, and manage their Dwarven City with the release of Pineleaf Studio and Merge Games’ RTS DwarfHeim. The title will pay host to co-op and team-focused gameplay. All those interested can sign up for the multiplayer beta here.

Ooblets

Featuring farming, creature collection, dance battles, and bears wearing pants, Glumberland’s Ooblets will come out this summer for the Epic Games Store and Xbox One. Players can wishlist the title now on the Epic Games Store.

The Dungeon of Nahleubeuk

A tactical RPG from Artefacts Studio and Dear Villagers (ScourgeBringer, Recompile), The Dungeon of Nahleubeuk has been described by Eurogamer as “an adorable XCOM-alike.” Players will lead a crew of unlikely heroes on an epic adventure through the dreadful dungeon of Naheulbeuk. Along the way, they will use both “strength” and “smarts” to overcome the worst of evil lord Zangdar.

New World

The closed beta for Amazon Games’ new MMORPG New World will begin on July 23, 2020. With support for up to 100 players on the battlefield at once, combat in New World has been designed to be visceral and skill-based, and is paired with deep character progression, social systems, and rich crafting mechanics.

Twin Mirror

The latest title from DONTNOD Entertainment (Life is Strange), Twin Mirror follows the story of former investigative journalist Sam Higgs. Returning to his hometown of Basswood, West Virginia to say a final farewell to his best friend, he soon learns that there are more chapters to be written in his troubled history.

Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town

XSEED Games’ farm/life simulation title Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town will simultaneously launch on the Nintendo Switch and PC on July 14, 2020. The PC version in particular will feature support for up to eight languages, can accommodate resolutions up to 4K, contains multiple graphical options, and will pay host to keyboard and mouse controls.

Potionomics

Players will be able to brew and sell magical potions with the release of XSEED Games’ Potionomics. Penniless young witch Sylvia must save her shop from the clutches of a debt collector, but she has the help of fellow merchants, fledgling adventurers, and an overbearing owl to save the day.

Everspace 2

A fast-paced single-player space shooter that contains deep exploration, plenty of loot, and classic RPG elements, Rockfish Games’ Everspace 2 got a new trailer at the PC Gaming Show. Along the way, players will unveil new mysteries, discover alien species, find hidden treasures and defend valuables against bands of outlaw clans.

Prodeus

Bounding Box Software and Humble Games’ Prodeus looks to the FPS of old while utilizing modern rendering techniques with their new title Prodeus. Featuring a high quality 3D retro aesthetic, a dismemberment system, infinite blood, and over-the-top visual effects, this title is set to release in 2020.

Elite Dangerous Odyssey

Players will be able to disembark, command, and leave their mark on the galaxy with the release of Frontier Developments’ Elite Dangerous: Odyssey in 2021. Players will be able to take on a wide variety of contracts along the way, and will also be able to assemble their crew through the use of different social hubs.

Gloomwood

A stealth horror FPS by Dillon Rogers, David Szymanski, and New Blood Interactive (Dusk, Amid Evil), Gloomwood will feature a handcrafted city and free-form exploration. A detailed stealth and sound system that tracks light visibility and accurately propagates noise will be included, along with a unique arsenal and in-depth player interactivity.

The Last Campfire

A puzzle adventure game by Hello Games (No Man’s Sky), The Last Campire got a new trailer at the PC Gaming Show today. The title will launch this summer.
