2019 was quite a prolific year regarding content for The Elder Scrolls Online. Bethesda and Zenimax really worked hard for the celebration of the game’s fifth anniversary, developing a whole season around a theme that players love: the Dragons.

But all good things come to an end, and as this year has ended, so has the Season of the Dragon. Now it’s time to figure out what The Elder Scrolls Online has in store for 2020.

A trailer was been broadcasted during the Game Awards 2019, revealing a first clue: the rest of the events will take place in Bordeciel. This is a revelation that delighted fans of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, which has become one of the most popular titles in the series.

During this season, we will, therefore, have the opportunity to rediscover the landscapes of Bordeciel a millennium before the events of Skyrim. But that’s not all that the trailer revealed. In fact, it set an appointment for January 16.

We know a little more today about this mysterious meeting. There will be a live event in Las Vegas that will be broadcasted on Twitch, Mixer, Facebook, VK, and Steam. The pre-show will start at 9 p.m. CET, with a handful of handpicked streamers, but the main course of the evening will start at 11 p.m. CET. Rich Lambert, creative director, and Pete Hine, VP marketing of Bethesda, will be the masters of ceremony in the reveal of the future of the game in 2020, which will focus on “the dark heart of Skyrim”.

In addition to that, you will be able to earn rewards during the broadcast. If the milestone of 80,000 spectators is reached, the players will win the Long-winged Bat pet. At 150,000, we are promised “a surprise reward inspired by community submissions”.

All is left is to patiently wait for the event to see what The Elder Scrolls Online has in store for us. In the meantime, if you don’t already have it, you can take a look at our comparator to get the game at the best price.
