Ninja Theory surprised most of us for good when it released Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice in 2017. The adventure of a Pict warrior who tries to save her lover from the grasp of death turned out to be one of the deepest and best laid out stories that we have seen in recent years. The level of immersion that players can experience in Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice as the protagonist travels to Helheim to save the soul of her loved one from Hela is definitely amazing. The clash between Norse mythology and Celtic lore produced a compelling adventure that was very well received by the players, and that it doesn’t seem to be finished.

A sequel to Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice was announced during the Game Awards 2019. Even though very little has been revealed about Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, it is clear that the new chapter in the adventures of the brave Pict warrior will have her facing legendary horrors born from ancient lore.

The announce trailer left the fans of the first title wanting for more but it seems that Ninja Theory is not ready to spill the beans about Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 yet. That doesn’t mean that we will be kept in the oblivion until the game is released and this time the information about the game comes from Microsoft itself. The GM of Xbox Games Marketing Aaron Greenberg has revealed that Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 is going to be exclusive to Microsoft’s platforms and that we are gonna have to wait for a bit until the release of the game. Answering the question of a fan of the series on Twitter he confirmed that the game is going to be exclusive to Xbox Series X and PC, so we won’t see the game until Microsoft’s new generation console is ready, something that may happen late in 2020.
