We revealed a few days ago in another article some of the features of the upcoming survival horror title and Resident Evil spin-off Project Resistance. It will offer to the player asymmetric games where four players will play as Survivors that are trying to escape from the grasp of the evil Mastermind, played by a fifth person.
Even if Project Resistance steps aside from the gameplay that we are used to seeing on most Resident Evil games, which are single-player adventures, this new take at the famous franchise could end being very popular just because of the huge amount of possibilities that a player-controlled environment offers. But despite all those options, the players who are worried about it being repetitive after a few games will be glad to know that there will be multiple Masterminds and Survivors available in Project Resistance.
“At TGS 2019, you only experience Daniel as Mastermind, but there are many variations of the Mastermind. The same goes for the survivors and there are more survivors with unique skills and looks that we are planning to add into the game.”
This fact has been revealed by producer Masachika Kawata, who has also explained in a recent interview that Project Resistance will also feature an offline story mode that will feel closer to what we are used to when playing Resident Evil titles.
Project Resistance – Daniel, the only Mastermind revealed so far
With those announcements, a title that some thought to be a bit shallow is starting to shape into something with more depth that will probably appease the demands of the Resident Evil series‘ fans.
One can’t stop wondering what would happen if Project Resistance becomes really successful. Maybe Capcom
