When we talk about the Resident Evil series, we all have in mind great single-player survival horror titles. Over the years it has become one of the most popular video games series and the list of titles in it has expanded quite a bit, including even a few remakes that have delighted the most exigent fans. But there are even more surprises on the way.

Resident Evil: Project Resistance is an asymmetric multiplayer title for five people that takes place in the Resident Evil universe. In this adventure, one of the players will act as the Mastermind that controls a facility where weird experiments take place. Four other players will play as the Survivors, and the will have to cooperate to escape from this place.

Project Resistance features 4v1 matches where the Survivors have a limited time to escape from the facility. They will have to navigate through the different scenarios that form the map while solving the puzzles that the Mastermind prepares for them, as well as facing traps, zombies, and other types of threats.

While tracking the other players through the video surveillance network in the place, the Mastermind will have a deck of cards that he can use to create a variety of obstacles in order to prevent the Survivors from escaping. He can also take direct control of the zombies to attack the other players however he chooses.

Project Resistance – The Survivors

Each of the Survivors will have unique skills and the use of those in cooperation with the other players will be needed if they all want to have a chance to escape and leave behind the nightmarish scenario that the Mastermind has created for them.

It’s needless to say that this type of gameplay has never been seen before in the Resident Evil series, but we can anticipate that there will be a lot of players excited with the idea of playing as the evil mastermind behind the scenes.
