Modern Warfare’s next beta will add Ground War mode

As we announced in previous news, many players were able to experience Call of Duty: Modern Warfare multiplayer battles during the last weekend. Plenty of players took part in the beta and now they have a better idea of what’s coming when the game releases October 25 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The event ran smoothly through the whole weekend and the participants have voiced their opinions about the gameplay. Even though most of the people were quite pleased with the experience, one thing, in particular, bothered the majority of the players to a point where Infinity Ward had to change it on the last day: the lack of mini-map.

It’s something very simple that has had a huge repercussion. In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare beta, players only had access to the minimap when using UAVs and Personal Radars. That’s very limited time because those depend on killstreaks. The controversy about this matter caused that the developer decided to activate it on the third day, but modifying it so it would only show enemies if you had a UAV or Personal Radar active.

Infinity Ward hasn’t announced is this change is going to be maintained for the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfar but we assume that due to the feedback received during the beta they may consider implementing it.

We will have a chance to see what they decide during the upcoming weekend when the second Call of Duty: Modern Warfare beta is happening. As a reminder, everyone is allowed to participate in this beta that will run from September 21 to September 23. It doesn’t matter if you have not pre-ordered the game, all you have to do to participate is visit the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare dedicated website in the appropriate date and follow the instructions to play on whatever platform you choose: PC, PlayStation 4 or Xbox One.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare – Ground War Mode

You will be able to experience all the content available in the previous Call of Duty: Modern Warfare beta stages and also the Ground War mode that features massive 32v32 multiplayer battles on the map Karst River Quarry.

Borderlands 3 Guts Of Carnivora Crew Challenges Guide

Borderlands 3 Guts Of Carnivora Crew Challenges Guide
The Guts of Carnivora map in BL3 is one of the smallest and only features a single challenge. This Borderlands 3 Guts Of Carnivora Crew Challenges Guide will tell you where to find the single and only challenge on this map, finding a Dead Claptrap.

I’m slightly dubious about finding all these pieces of Dead Claptrap, do we really need a second one running around? Anyway, as previously mentioned this is a very small map with a single crew challenge to complete. It’s an easy one too, right near the end of the level, nearly impossible to miss, even if you’re rushing through.

No need for a big selection of options here. You will find the broken Claptrap sitting on a conveyor belt near the bar at the very end of the mission. Collect that, and you’ve completed this entire area of crew challenges. Easy.

Nioh 2 open beta starts in November

The fans of Nioh will be happy to know that they will be able to give a try to the next title in the series during the open beta on PlayStation 4 that will be held next month. Starting November 1 all players can participate in Nioh 2 open beta, which will be up for ten days. All you have to do to take part and try the game is downloading it when it’s available in the PlayStation Store.

The original role-playing game from Team Ninja allowed us to experience the end of the Sengoku period in a fictionalized dark fantasy version of Japan, and this new installment will be a prequel to it. Taking place about a hundred years earlier than the events in Nioh, the upcoming title offers us a stand-alone story where we will play as a character that is part yokai.

In Nioh 2, being a half-demon allows you to transform into yokai form to have access to special attacks and abilities, and you will also be able to visit the Dark Realm to enhance your powers. This opens a new world of possibilities in combat, but you better be ready to die, because despite your new powers the game is not any easier than the previous one. If you have played Nioh, you already should have an idea of what to expect, but in case you have not, you have to keep in mind that Nioh 2 is quite a difficult game, exactly like its predecessor.

Nothing has been revealed about the contents of the Nioh 2 beta but what we expect to see is more of the same formula that made the previous game into a cult game: spectacular graphics and thrilling melee combats that remind us of Dark Souls series but with a Japanese flair.

There is no confirmed official release date for Nioh 2 but the game is supposed to arrive early 2020 on PlayStation 4.

Lyser Review

The science of lasers hits the world of Steam with the release of Growfall Games’ Lyser. Tasking players with guiding these beams to different sources, does this puzzle game put your smarts to the test?

Lyser Review

The objective of Lyser is simple – guide the laser beams to the proper circles and light them all up. However, the path between here and there is never a straight line – this focused beam must be bounced on a number of different objects in order to meet its final destination.

This is where the player comes in – a number of objects can be flipped and moved around to make this laser bounce off of things. It’s pretty straightforward – a simple click of the mouse will get the job done, but later stages have a number of different things that can be fiddled around with. When paired with numerous spots that need to be targeted, things can quickly get tricky. Later levels also include objects that can be interacted with in different ways, sliding and flipping every which way.

It’s just a shame that early levels are a bit too easy for their own good. A gradual learning curve is a good thing to have, but the entirety of this title is made up of only 36 levels. In addition, it is easy to grasp the mechanics of the title, even without a single bit of text. Later stages will tax your brain, but a higher difficulty setting would have gone a long way.

However, when things finally do get going, Lyser’s puzzles accomplish what they set out to achieve. One might think the simple movement of an object is child’s play, but there’s a lot to keep track of in this title. The fact that certain sections are out of the way and that the laser has a tendency to bounce off of objects means that there is a lot to keep track of here. However, those that are deliberate in their actions and think things through will solve each puzzle – a satisfying feeling.

The presentation powering Lyser is a pretty basic one, one that will not leave a lasting impression. Multicolored hexagonal backgrounds and a single soft melody are all you get – those expecting something with a bit more flash will be left out in the cold. Nevertheless, the minimalist design choices here come across as clean and admittedly get the job done.

The entirety of the title can be completed in around an hour, depending on how adept one is at solving each puzzle. There are achievements tied to each level (which are signified by both letters and numbers), but it is fairly easy to fully complete this title before too long.

Lyser takes a simple concept and adds a refreshing level of complexity to it. Though it takes a while for things to get going, this puzzle game is an entertaining, if short, way to tax your mind.

This review of Lyser was done on the PC. The game was purchased digitally.
