Red Dead Online Summer Update Coming September 10

Rockstar Games announced today that Red Dead Online’s next update will land on September 10.

This update will bring with it three new Frontier Pursuits. These Frontier Pursuits are an ongoing series of Roles for players of the game to inhabit. They will deliver an array of themed activities that provide players unique skills, items and more as they progress through each Role. Note that each Role will automatically earn Role XP as you complete a Role’s activities. Those that unlock a Role Rank will be able to each Role Tokens, and will soon be able to unlock new skills at certain ranks. There is a new tier of distinction every five ranks, with them being: Novice, Promising, Established and Distinguished.

A number of other tweaks will make their way to the game in this update. Improvements have been made to player control that affect both combat and locomotion, providing quicker and more responsive movement. Players will also be able to redesign their character’s appearance without resetting progressing. Gameplay-wise, there will be greater damage resistance while in the Defensive playing style and there will be more Dynamic Events. These updates are joined by new Ability Cards, new Daily Challenges and Daily Role Challenges, and a number of new items.

For the adventurous among us, one can begin a new life as a Bounty Hunter. Players can begin this new venture after meeting the Legendary Bounty Hunter in Rhodes and purchasing the Bounty Hunter License. Players will be able to find targets at bounty boards, which can be found at post offices, law offices, and train stations. It pays to keep them alive though, as the living bring in a greater reward. Those that pass Bounty Hunter Rank 12 will get the chance to take on other players with high bounties of $20 or more.

There are some unique perks that come with being a Bounty Hunter, including the following skills and items:

For those who would rather take on a different vocation, players will also be given the opportunity to be a partner in the fledgling Cripps Trading Company. Tasked with finding the perfect ingredients to develop a thriving business, players will source items for Cripps to convert into sellable goods. This can be done through hunting animals or by performing Resupply Missions. Players will also be able to get ahold of a Hunting Wagon to perform larger hauls, and can also upgrade their Delivery Wagons for larger sales. All you need to get started is an investment of 15 Gold Bars to get a Butcher’s Table. Note that PlayStation 4 players will be able to get one for free.

Skills and items for this field of work include the following:

Finally, players will be able to take on the path of the Collector in Red Dead Online. One can visit Madam Nazar to acquire the Collector’s Bag, or can collect all 54 hidden playing cards in GTA Online. This role has players traveling the world on the hunt for valuable treasures. As players progress, they’ll be able to learn enhanced searching skills, pick up tools like metal detectors, and can get increased carrying capacities. Players will also get the ability to have their horse directly pluck and pass herbs …

GreedFall: PC requirements unveiled

As the release of GreedFall is fast approaching, we have recently discovered the gameplay of this upcoming role-playing game that was previously quite mysterious.

Following this gameplay discovery, many of you have had to ask yourself the fateful question: will your PC be powerful enough to run GreedFall properly? Well, you can check it right now, because the minimum and recommended specifications are now known. Without making the suspense last longer, here they are.

Minimum configuration
  •     Operating System: Windows 7/8/10 (64-bit)
  •     Processor: Intel Core i5-3450 (3.1 GHz) / AMD FX-6300 X6 (3.5 GHz)
  •     RAM: 8 GB
  •     Graphics card: GeForce GTX 660 / Radeon HD 7870 (2 GB)
  •     Disk space: 25 GB
Recommended configuration
  •     Operating System: Windows 7/8/10 (64-bit)
  •     Processor: Intel Core i5-4690 (3.5GHz / AMD FX-8300 (3.3GHz)
  •     RAM: 16 GB
  •     Graphics card: GeForce GTX 980 / Radeon RX 590 (4GB)
  •     Disk space: 25 GB

GreedFall

This is rather good news, as we notice that even the recommended configuration is not extremely greedy for a game of 2019. Even if it is not in maximum quality, most players should, in any case, not have any problem playing GreedFall.

Some players are certainly wondering about the quality of the game’s graphics. We have seen some criticism on the graphical appearance appear following the gameplay video that was published recently. It is true that GreedFall does not seem to be the most beautiful game of the year, but it will be accessible to the majority of players, which is not the case of all recent or upcoming games, which sometimes require that you have powerful PCs to play properly. GreedFall has many other assets to seduce players.

GreedFall takes place in the seventeenth century and offers you a good dose of adventure, as you arrive to the shores of an unknown island filled with magic to try to find a cure for an illness. Its gameplay also offers great freedom to the player. In this RPG you create your own character, with the skills and fighting style you want. You will be confronted with a rich universe, with rival factions, fantastic creatures and so much more to discover. Also, remember that GreedFall is developed by Spiders, to whom we also owe The Technomancer or Bound By Flame, and who have also co-developed with Cyanide the very good Of Orcs and Men.

GreedFall will be released on September 10 on PC, Xbox One and PS4. As usual, you can find it at the best price on our comparator.

The Outer Worlds advertises the Halcyon system in a video

The new role-playing adventure from Obsidian will have us visiting different worlds in the Halcyon system and now we can take a brief look at some of them in the new The Outer Worlds video. Terra 2 and Monarch come to life through the footage of this video that looks like a tourism agency announcement that tries to sell us the boons and joys of visiting those planets. As one would expect, the reality might have nothing to do with what’s advertised.

Waking up in a colonist ship that has was lost in transit while traveling to the outskirts of the galaxy would not be a real problem if what you find when you get there is what you expected. Unfortunately, Halcyon colony is not exactly like you were told and the corporations that own the system are engaged in a war to control the territory and exploit whatever resources they can to make a profit at all cost.

You decide that you will be part of the solution and not the problem in The Outer Worlds, and you find yourself as the unplanned variable in a system where everything was planned, even if the results of those plans are not exactly the expected ones. It turns out that the employment communities of Terra 2 are not as welcoming and comfortable as you would have expected. Also, the fauna in Monarch tends to have some dietary habits where you can end being the first course in their meals.

The Outer Worlds – The cozy town of Fallbrook

In The Outer Worlds, the creators of Fallout: New Vegas have managed to create a unique and dystopic universe for you to explore. After all, the fact of being dropped in the middle of a conspiracy that threatens to destroy the Halcyon colony is just a minor issue and you will be able to solve it, won´t you?

Forts are changing the sieges in Total War: Warhammer 2

Total War: Warhammer 2 is one of the games that best represents the world of the tabletop miniature game from Games Workshop. Strategic real-time battles where armies formed by fantastic creatures and troops of all kinds follow the commands of their generals to achieve victory have never been reproduced with such detail. It doesn’t matter which faction and leader you choose to play, each of them has it’s own strengths and weaknesses and you will have to master the positioning and movements of the units in your army if you want to achieve victory with minimum losses.

Total War: Warhammer 2 is slightly different from its previous installment in the series because it focuses on the New World and the control of the Great Vortex. On the other hand, Total War: Warhammer is about conquering the Old World. If you own both Total War: Warhammer and Total War: Warhammer 2 you can download the Mortal Empires DLC for free. It adds a large-scale campaign that covers both continents and where the Great Vortex is not the main focus. You will be able to battle for conquering the whole world in a colossal campaign that can include up to 117 different factions and 35 legendary lords.

Even with all those boons, Total War: Warhammer 2 has a certain type of battles that always feel rather dull compared to the others, and that is the castle sieges. Whether you are on the attacking side or on the defending side it feels monotonous to assault the walls until you can destroy the defenders or making arrows and catapult projectiles rain on the attackers. It’s pretty much over when the attackers penetrate the walls. In an attempt to change that Creative Assembly is adding the forts as a free update for Mortal Empires.

Forts add a new difficulty layer to sieges in Total War: Warhammer 2. This new type of settlement used to defend strategic locations. They are sort of multi-layered defensive citadels that you can improve with weapons and troops, creating almost impregnable bastions where waves of enemy troops will crash. You will find a real challenge in sieges once you breach the outer walls and that will make the game even more interesting.

Total War: Warhammer 2 – One of the impressive new forts

Along with this free update, Total War: Warhammer 2 is also getting a new paid DLC that will add two new legendary lords to the game on September 11. Markus Wulfhart, the Hunstmarshal of Emperor Karl Franz, and Nakai The Wanderer, revered Kroxigor of the first-spawning, are coming to the game with brand new troops and unique gameplay mechanics in Total War: Warhammer 2 – The Huner & the Beast DLC.
