Get an overview of Bandai Namco’s Mobile Suit Gundam: Extreme VS. Maxiboost ON with the latest trailer for the title.

Originally released in 2016 for arcades in Japan, this title is meant as more of a finalized version of the Gundam Extreme Versus series that also appeared on the PlayStation 3. This title is a two-on-two team battle action game where players will compete in a PVP style format. For those familiar with previous entries, the EX Mode system has been revamped, removing the Drive System in exchange for EX Bursts.

More than 183 units from the entire Gundam universe have been included, and each features different abilities that can suit different play styles. Players can also choose between three different “Burst” styles: Fighting Burst, Extend Burst, and Shooting Burst. An online functionality has also been included for those looking to battle others worldwide.

In addition to the Arcade Mode (called “Branch Battle” in this version), this console version will also feature Free Battle, along with local multiplayer split screen play. A mission mode called “Maxi Boost Mission” will also make its appearance, tasking players with taking on different battles with their own stipulations and challenges.
