We all know have heard about Minecraft, a game that transports you to a world where you can build anything you like. Not only you can create a world of your liking, but you can also play inside it too. That is pretty much the premise that Minecraft Dungeons will follow when it’s launched. It will allow you to play a role-playing game adventure in a Minecraft-made fantasy world. Featuring RPG mechanics and an isometric third-person view, Minecraft Dungeons is a spin-off the original game that will allow up to four players to cooperate as they explore dungeons, fight against countless creatures, gather loot and have fun together.
A new gameplay video that shows almost half an hour of gameplay shows several features of Minecraft Dungeons. You can watch it below.
Minecraft Dungeons is an adventure inspired by classic dungeon crawlers where the players will traverse a multitude of maps in order to destroy the evil Arch-Illager. As you navigate through the different procedurally generated levels of the game, you will have to solve puzzles and fight against endless hordes of enemies of all types, as you gather equipment and make yourself more powerful before the final fight. You can see the characters using a variety of consumable items with diverse effects in the video, and equipment that grants the wearer abilities, but nothing has been said about specific classes or skills in the game. The development of your character is directly liked to what you loot during the game.
Minecraft creator, Majong studio, has confirmed that they are exploring other possibilities too, so you may also see other Minecraft games that belong to different video game genres in the future. If you are a fan of Minecraft and the genre of role-playing games, this may be the game you are looking for. Minecraft Dungeons will be released for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in April 2020.
