It’s been already six months since Metro Exodus launched and it was about time that we were getting more content for this first-person shooting adventure from 4A Games. The first DLC for the game is already available with the name of The Two Colonels and it offers us the possibility of exploring a new location, the ghost town Novosibirsk, or more like what’s left of it.

The Two Colonels expansion follows the story of Colonel Khlebnikov as he travels to meet his son, Kyrill. But you won’t be experiencing his story in the first person. You will play as Colonel Miller and retrace Khlebnikov’s steps one year later. Discovering what happened in the tunnels under Novosibirsk and how he ended his days will require a lot of effort on your part because the place is full of radiation, mutants, and all kinds of dangers. You will find claustrophobic environments and a linear progression that will remind you of previous installments in the Metro series, but the story will keep you busy for a while and you will get to use a flamethrower to burn your enemies to your heart’s content.

The events in the expansion take place prior to the arrival of the Aurora and its crew at the place so it will allow you to learn what happened after the bombs dropped, causing a situation that ultimately led the survivors to succumb to despair and madness.

The Two Colonels DLC for Metro Exodus is available on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation 4. You can purchase it separately or as part of Metro Exodus Expansion Pass. It’s also been announced that a second expansion with the name of Sam’s Story will arrive early 2020. It will follow the perilous journey of a former US Marine called Sam that is trying to return to his homeland.
