The development team for Marvel’s Avengers announced today that the worldwide release has been moved to September 4, 2020.

In a statement made by Crystal Dynamics co-heads Scot Amos and Ron Rosenberg, the delay was done to help the team “deliver the ultimate Avengers gaming experience.” The additional development time will be used to fine-tune and polish the title.

In Marvel’s Avengers, players will be able to enjoy the title as either a single-player experience or with up to four people during certain aspects of the game online. Confirmed heroes so far include Captain America, Iron Man, the Incredible Hulk, Black Widow, Thor, Hank Pym, Hawkeye, and Ms. Marvel.

The game will come out for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Google Stadia.
