After you get the quest to meet the Guardian of the Marsh: Find Kwolok, you can travel to the West to unlock the double jump skill. Once you have the ability to Double Jump, you can head to his area where Ori is on his map.
There’s a Spirit Well location here. Interacting with these fountains instantly restores Ori to full health and also saves the game. Currently, it’s the only known method of saving your progress. There isn’t a save menu or anything in any of the menu’s that lets you save so when you encounter one of these Spirit Well, make sure to remember where you found it.
