How To Form An Army In Mount & Blade II Bannerlord

In order to form an army you will need to do one of two things. You either need to form your own kingdom (guide here) or be a vassal or another kingdom (guide here).

If you are in your own kingdom, you will have to form another party. The more parties you have, the more parties you can recruit to your army. Ideally you want as many out as you can afford to constantly have extra parties running around. When a second party out, look on the bottom right of the screen in the over world map. You should see three tiny flags that you can scroll over or click. If you own a kingdom, you can recruit any extra parties you have out in the field. They have to have over half their units remaining to join you though. Watch the cohesion bar when they join, when it hits 0 the army disbands.

When you are a vassal it is the same thing except you can invite other clans in the kingdom to join you as well. The main difference is that this will cost you influence. While you do lead the army, the castles still go to a vote. Still you can’t expect the AI to get much done alone, if you are in a kingdom this is the way to go. Just remember that you don’t always control the entire army on the field. Same with the above, once the cohesion hits 0 they disband.
