A few weeks ago developer Codemasters announced that they were delaying the launch of their upcoming racing GRID title to give it more exposure. Since then they have been revealing more info about the game as well as gameplay videos. Today we can have the first look at the cars racing through the street of Havana.

We had previously seen some pictures showing the streets of Havana at night, but this is the first time we can actually watch the cars racing through them. It turns out that those are not any vehicles but the official cars from the 2018 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. Also, you can see that Codemasters has put a lot of effort in representing the streets of Cuba’s capital with a great level of detail to make this urban racing experience something that players won´t forget.

As a reminder, Havana is the fourth of the locations available for racing in the new GRID. The game features thrilling races in locations all over the world that include the tropical island, Barcelona, San Francisco, and Shanghai. You will be able to play against the AI or join multiplayer mode to compete in races for up to 16 players.

The video is commented by game director Chris Smith and community manager Chris Groves. They explain some of the features in this installment of the GRID series as they chase and try to overtake Fernando Alonso. The F1 World Champion has helped with the creation of the game as a consultant, but he will be an AI opponent you can race against too.
