The development team of Square-Enix’s Final Fantasy VII Remake has stated that the release of the title has been moved to April 10, 2020.

Originally set to release on March 3 for the PlayStation 4, Producer Yoshinori Kitase stated that the development team made the delay to “deliver a game that is in-line with our vision, and the quality that our fans who have been waiting for deserve.” The delay was done to give the development team additional time to apply final polish to the title.

The Final Fantasy VII Remake remakes the 1997 PlayStation 1 JRPG with real-time battle mechanics. The story tells of SOLDIER mercenary Cloud Strife and the eco-terrorist group AVALANCHE as they set out to battle the Shinra megacorporation.
