For those wondering what the future holds for Bethesda’s Fallout 76, the 2020 roadmap for the title has been released.
New to the title is 76 Seasons, which brings a new account-wide progression system that overhauls the current Challenge system. This system will help players bring in a number of new rewards as they play. Available to all players, it will offer a unified progression path that will unlock new and unique rewards like Power Armor paints, C.A.M.P. items, Atoms, Perk Packs, Legendary Scrip, and more.
In lieu of the old Challenge system that gifted Atoms for the completion of Daily and Weekly Challenges, players will now earn S.C.O.R.E. points. These points will help players unlock some great rewards.
Season 1 will feature a Captain Cosmos-themed board game – all players will begin at the first space on the board, at Rank 1 out of 100. Advancing along the board will have players earning S.C.O.R.E., with challenges less complicated and easier to complete. These rewards will be dished out at every rank, with greater rewards the more you advance. However, players can spend 150 Atoms to skip ranks after the first two weeks of a Season. These seasons will run for 10 weeks, with a two-week break between seasons.
The inaugural Season will kick off with Patch 20 this summer.
The game is now available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
