According to a statement made on the official Deathloop Twitter account today, Bethesda Software and Arkane Studios will delay Deathloop to Q2 2021.
The development team stated that they wish to “develop a signature Arkane game that takes you to never-before-seen places in a stylish new world.”
Keeping in mind the health and the safety of the team, they realized that the polish and quality level that defines their titles is taking longer than normal. They also mentioned that this extra time will allow their team to bring Deathloop’s world to life, with the character and fun that the team is known for.

Originally announced at E3 2019, Deathloop has players taking on the role of Colt, an assassin that finds himself stuck in a time loop. Waking up on a beach at the island of Blackreef, he must take down eight targets across the island before midnight. In order to do so, Colt can use guns, melee attacks, or other environmental means in a system that combines elements from the Dishonored series and Prey.
The title will be a timed PlayStation 5 exclusive, with other platforms coming at a later date.
The Legendary Mud Runner Buck and the Legendary Snow Buck will make their way to Rockstar Games’ Red Dead Online this week
The first expansion pack for Creative Assembly and SEGA Europe’s Total War: Three Kingdoms, The Furious Wild, has been announced
