Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, more commonly known as CS:GO, is one of the most popular multiplayer shooters. It pits terrorists and counter-terrorist teams in competitive matches on a variety of gameplay modes. Even though there have been several versions of the game, there is one thing that all of them have in common: the generic skins of the characters. Players are so used to their characters being like this that it has become one of the features of Counter-Strike that makes it different from other shooters.

But all this is bound to change very soon with Operation: Shattered Web. Valve has announced that one of the features implemented in Counter-Strike with the new operation allows players to unlock different skins for their characters.

For the first time in CS:GO, unlock all-new T and CT-sided characters equippable on any map. All-new CT Operators and T Agents are available as mission progress rewards. Complete missions and earn Stars to unlock them and equip them for deployment. Or equip the default Local Agent or Operator to use the pre-existing map-based characters.

It seems that Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is finally moving ahead and wants to allow a certain degree of character customization for the players. Even though it could be a bit weird in the beginning, we are sure that players will enjoy having a say about how their characters look in the game.

CS:GO – Operation: Shattered Web skins

Operation: Shattered Web is the first expansion for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive in the last two years, and it comes with six missions that can be completed in any order and in a variety of gameplay modes that include Casual, Competitive, Danger Zone, and Guardian. As you complete them, you will earn stars that will be used to unlock the different skins. There are a total of 22 skins available. You can also unlock end-of-match animations.

It’s good to see that Valve is still putting some effort into maintaining the Counter-Strike franchise alive almost 20 years after the first game in the series was released.
