How To Fish In Stranded Sails

How To Fish In Stranded Sails
Fishing is one of the many rewarding side activities in Stranded Sails, but it’s not available right away. This guide explains How To Fish In Stranded Sails as you need to unlock the Fishing Rod before you’re able to interact with the various fishing spots in the game.

Like many of Stranded Sails activities, Fishing can be very rewarding for your camp. Once you have a fishing rod, you can interact with parts of the water that feature small circles with a white dot in the center. There are tons of fishing spots, both on the first islands and the latter islands.

How To Unlock Fishing
To unlock fishing in Stranded Sails, you simply need to progress through the story. As you continue to do missions for your allies around the camp, your camp will grow and you’ll build more facilities for you and the other survivors. Eventually, you’ll get a note from Fritz, telling you he’s stranded on a nearby island. From there you’ll have to take a rowing boat and explore the smaller islands to the North.

You can find Fritz on this island. Once you’ve found him, you’ll have to take him back to camp. Then, once returned, you’ll have to go back to the island again to find the fishing rod that was in the box next to him. Once you’ve done that, return to Fritz and he’ll teach you how to fish.

Gears 5 receives new characters in a DLC

Gears 5 is including more characters for the players to choose from with the release of its first DLC character drop, which includes both heroes and villains. Developer The coalition already has stated its intention of adding more characters to the game in the following months and this is the first batch. You will be able to choose Gear and DeeBee for the COG, as well as Warden and General Raam for the Swarm.

The characters are playable in Arcade multiplayer and PvE modes, and they have new abilities that will offer you more strategic choices during your games.

The best thing is that even though you can unlock these new characters buying them for 500 iron each in the game, you can also do it just by playing through a new totem system that is being added to Gears 5 too.

To unlock a character you first have to spend 100 scrap to craft a totem that you will need to equip as you complete different objectives. since only one of those totems can be active at a time you will need to repeat this process for every character that you want to unlock. With your totem equipped, you will need to complete four objectives that are the same for all the characters and a fifth one that is specific for each of them.

Shared objectives:

  • Earn 60,000 XP in Versus, Horde or Escape
  • Complete 40 rounds of Versus
  • Survive 50 waves of Horde in any difficulty (doesn’t need to be in a single match)
  • Survive 18 acts of Escape in any difficulty

Specific objectives:

  • Gear: Get 200 assists as a COG team character in Versus, Horde or Escape
  • DeeBee: Get 100 reject kills in Horde or Escape
  • Warden: Eliminate 10 wardens in Horde or Escape
  • General RAAM: Execute 30 COG characters as a Swarm character

According to The Coalition, the time needed to unlock each character by playing Gears 5 is about 10 hours per each of them, although it may vary depending on your skills.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 will be late

It’s quite sad that after all the expectations generated by the reveal of the different clans and factions that will be present in Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 we get to know that the game won’t be released in the first quarter of 2020. Maybe it could be deemed as expected since no release date for the game was confirmed so far but it’s still a letdown for all the fans that are eagerly waiting to immerse themselves into the darkest night of Seattle with Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2.

Even like that, it’s quite easy to understand and agree with the reasons exposed by Andy Kipling and Brian Mitsoda from Handy Labs. The developers come up with several reasons in a blog post, and among those, the most important one is one that the people that played the previous game in the series will understand very well: they don’t want to have the same mistakes and release the game before it’s ready. That’s something that anyone who played Bloodlines 1 would tell you. It’s a great game but it could have been much better with enough time.

On the flip side, there’s the responsibility to avoid some of the issues that plagued the first game, which was famously launched too early. Over the last few months, it became clear that to stick to our original date would risk repeating that mistake. We won’t do that. In the end, everyone working on this game wants to offer you the best Bloodlines 2 we can.

Whatever internal development reasons have led to this scenario don’t really matter because, at the end of the day, the only thing that matters is that players get the Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 that best represents the World of Darkness universe. If we have to wait for a bit longer for that to happen, I would say that it’s really worth it, but they better make sure that the final product can cope with the huge expectation that a game like this generates among the huge fan base of Vampire: The Masquerade.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is still coming to PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in 2020, but later than expected. No official release date has been confirmed yet.

The Division 2: Episode 2 and Free Weekend Approach

Released last March, The Division 2 continues to offer more content to players. Indeed, Ubisoft announced during the E3 its roadmap for year 1.

After Invasion: The Battle for DC, which introduced the 8-player raid Operation Dark Hours, and Episode 1: Washington Outskirts, which made us discover the expeditions, Episode 2 has finally arrived. Called Pentagon – The Last Castle, it is already available for the holders of the Year 1 Pass, which in addition to proposing confidential assignments, unlocks the specializations of year 1 and various bonuses, and also gives access to all the episodes of the year 1 seven days earlier. Episode 2 Pentagon – The Last Castle, having been released yesterday for the lucky owners of the Pass, it will thus be available free for all the players from October 22nd.

It contains two new missions, “The Pentagon” and “DARPA Research Laboratory”, two confidential assignments (only for players who bought the Year 1 Pass), and the new Technician specialization, that players do not have the famous Pass will have to unlock. The Technician is an electronics specialist and has a formidable weapon, the multi-missile launcher, which allows you to fire homing missiles on multiple targets at once. It also has a secondary weapon, the Maxim 9, and an Artificer variant for the Hive skill.

In parallel, if you do not have The Division 2, you will have the opportunity to play it for free on PC throughout the weekend. The free trial will run from October 17th at 10 am CEST until October 21st at the same time. To participate, all you need is a Uplay account and going to the game page. Preloading is already available on the Ubisoft platform.

Finally, a new update is coming to make a number of changes to loot and crafting in the game but also including a rebalance of PvE and PvP weapons and talents and a reworking of the standardization system in the United States Dark Zones and Conflicts. You can read the release notes and all the changes made to The Division 2 on the Ubisoft official website.

Moons of Madness launches next week

Funcom has a lot of experience with mystery games. After all, they are the creators of The Secret World, an MMORPG that is set in a world shaped by intrigue, conspiracy, and mystery. It’s the perfect setting for horror adventures and knowing that, Funcom and Rock Pocket Games are bringing us Moons of Madness, a game that will take us to the red planet to explore its dark side.

In Moons of Madness, you are Shane Newehart, an engineer from Orochi that is stationed in a secret base that the corporation has established on Mars. The Trailblazer Alpha outpost was built as a result of the reception of a mysterious signal coming from Mars, but your security clearance isn’t high enough, and you are completely oblivious about all this. One day, while you are performing technical duties you notice that the number of strange failures seems to be unusually high, and things get really awkward when the rest of your team has not returned from their EVA mission and the greenhouse starts filling with a green mist.

Finding yourself alone in Mars under strange circunstances wouldn’t be that bad if it wasn’t because your only way of escaping this situation is waiting until the transport ship Cyrano arrives bringing with it a new team to take over your duties. But loneliness makes a dent in the most hardened personalities, and in Moons of Madness you will be put in a situation where you will be doubting if what you see is true or just hallucinations. Facing isolation while you explore the darker side of the red planet while you are assaulted by terrifying visions and monstrous apparitions is bad enough, but the uncertainty about the existence of a cosmic horror that threatens reality itself behind all this could really drive you insane.

Moons of Madness

The release of Moons of Madness is scheduled for October 22nd on PC and January 2020 on PS4 and Xbox One, and you can check the best prices to buy it on our comparator anytime.

Riot announces a multitude of games

League of Legends is one of the most popular competitive MOBA and a reference in the world of eSports. Being one of the precursors in the genre has also made developer Riot Games one of the most successful studios in the video games scene and it seems that they are planning to expand their field of influence. On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of League of Legends, Riot has announced that it’s working on a few titles that cover a variety of genres that includes fighting, first-person shooting or even card games.

Legends of Runeterra is Riot’s attempt to create a League of Legends digital card game to compete in a genre that is already packed with games like The Elder Scrolls Legends, Hearthstone, Magic The Gathering Arena or GWENT which are some of the most popular right now. Considering what happened with Valve’s Artifact not too long ago it could be a risky move because it’s rather difficult to innovate in this genre, but taking advantage of the huge popularity of League of Legends might produce a good start for the new game. No release date has been revealed so far, but it should come at some point next year.

Even though it doesn’t even have an official name yet, the game known as Project L is going to be Riot’s take on fighting games. It’s supposed to be a game that will let you use your favorite League of Legends champions to fight against each other. The very brief footage revealed during yesterday’s League of Legends 10th anniversary livestream showed Ahri and Darius in combat, but that’s all we know about the game so far.

Project L

In the same way, Project A is going to be Riot’s future first-person character-based tactical shooter. It will not be based on the League of Legends universe and very little information about it has been revealed other than it will be focused on competitive multiplayer modes. It could be similar to Overwatch but until we know a little more about its mechanics we are not sure of what to expect.

Project A

Other than that, yesterday’s livestream also served to announce the upcoming release of fifty new units for Teamfight Tactics with set 2 and also the launch of League of Legends for mobile devices and consoles very soon.

Stranded Sails: Explorers of the Cursed Islands Review

Lemonbomb Entertainment looks to add their own colorful spin to the world of farming and exploration with the charming world of Stranded Sails: Explorers of the Cursed Islands. With the likes of Yonder, Stardew Valley, and My Time at Portia reinvigorating the genre with fresh ideas and new, creative directions, does Stranded Sails offer than same level of innovation, or is this better left out at sea?

Stranded Sails: Explorers Of The Cursed Islands Review

Stranded Sails: Explorers of the Cursed Islands is, as its base level, a simplistic, relaxed, and approachable game that sticks to the core foundations of the farming and exploration genre without pushing too hard to reach new shores. If you’re searching for something new, something deeper, or something more complex, you won’t find a lot of that here. However, for those looking for a calming, easy to understand exploration adventure, Stranded Sails has plenty to offer.

Stranded Sails begins as you and your companions shipwreck on a small island. Scavenging for supplies, locating and rescuing your crew members, and building up a small base of operations takes much of your initial time before you begin exploring other nearby islands and discovering the root of the curse that claims these lands. The story is basic and doesn’t offer much in terms of complexity, but it’s easy to follow and often charming in a simple way.

Stranded Sails: Explorers Of The Cursed Islands Review

The games two main attractions, farming and exploration, are featured heavily throughout. However, both never really seem to hit a chorus. Every activity, every action, even walking around camp, takes up stamina. This stamina is recovered through resting or eating food. The entire game revolves around farming crops to discover better food recipes, which allows the player to explore further distances from camp and obtain more useful ingredients.

While this basic concept often left me wanting, the complex nature of other games in the genre can be equally off-putting for other potential players. Recipes and exploration are simplified; it’s all very easy to understand and very easy to follow.

As foundation mechanics, these are not inherently bad. They are present in some of the genres most beloved games, but unfortunately in Stranded Sails, that’s all it is – a foundation. I failed to find any real substance to much of the late game activities. A few hours into the game, I had recipes that offered enough stamina to explore anywhere the story sent me, leaving the latter farming feeling unrewarding and unnecessary.

Stranded Sails: Explorers Of The Cursed Islands Review

This frustration is further amplified by the poor objective design of the main story. A single objective tasked me with finding an item on one of the distant islands. After 10-15 minutes of farming and gathering crops, I’d fill up my food satchel with meals and set on my way. Traveling between each island is as simple as jumping into a row boat, holding a single button and waiting until you arrive. After the dull journey, I arrive on the island, exploring each area to find new farming ingredients and. eventually, my quest objective.

After gathering a few more ingredients, I return home using the in-game fast travel, deliver the quest item, and receive another quest sending me to the same island to find another item, an item that …
