The iconic first-person shooter developed by Infinity Ward has been getting many different gameplay modes since the roadmap for its first season was revealed a few weeks ago. The developer added the Gunfight mode and since that happened it has become one of the favorites of the fans with its small maps, fast-paced combat, and limited weaponry. We have already seen some variations of this mode but Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is getting yet another one that will reduce the number of players to a couple for frenetic 1v1 action. Don’t worry because you can still play 2v2 matches in Gunfight if you prefer the old gameplay mode.

Along with the new 1v1 Gunfight mode, the latest Call of Duty: Modern Warfare update brings back the dedicated Shipment 24/7 playlist, this time with matches for 5v5 players. The new playlist will replace Shoothouse 24/7.

Also, Gun Game is also getting a dedicated playlist and it will replace Grind. This means that Infinity Ward wants us to ditch cooperative gameplay for a while since in this free-for-all mode all players start with the same weapon and they get new and more powerful ones only by killing opponents.

If you expected to see another kind of content in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare this week you will find yourself having to wait for a bit longer. The developers have their hands full right now trying to fix the bugs that have plagued the game lately, especially those that allow players to hide under the floor or inside the walls in some maps. They have caused plenty of players to complain already, since being able to shoot from an unreachable position leads to completely unfair and ridiculous situations in player versus player modes. Multiplayer co-design director Joe Cecot has announced that an update that is supposed to fix many of those bugs should be coming later this week.
