Released in September, Borderlands 3 was strongly criticized ahead of its release following the announcement of the exclusive deal with Epic Games on PC. That did not stop the game from launching with great success and conquering the hearts of fans of the Borderlands series.

Borderlands 3 has launched since its release some events in addition to the basic content of the game, such as Bloody Harvest for Halloween, as well as other updates. This additional content is usually announced via the Borderlands Show, and its third episode was broadcasted yesterday.

During this third Borderlands Show, we were able to discover details about the first paid DLC of Borderlands 3 Season Pass, called “Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot”. In addition to the release date, which is set to December 19 on PC and consoles, we were able to discover the main storyline. The DLC will introduce a new campaign in which we will be requested by Moxxi to rob and take control of a casino, which is actually a station built by Handsome Jack when he was president of Hyperion. We will face new enemies and boss, who have lost their minds due to being locked in the casino. Main and secondary missions will provide a whole lot of rewards, including cosmetic items, emotes, and even legendary equipment. In order to play the DLC Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot, however, you must have reached level 13 and have completed the fifth episode in history.

Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot – Handsome Jack is back

In parallel to the paid DLC Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot, free content should be coming very soon to Borderlands 3 game via an update. Although we do not know when this will happen, we do know that this new content will be endgame. An additional level of difficulty will be added through the Mayhem 4 mode, which will award new rewards. A new four-player raid aimed at players of the maximum level will also be added to the game under the name Takedown at Maliwan’s Blacksite. The bank capacity will also be increased from the current 50 items to 300.

Finally, if you have not tried Borderlands 3 yet, be aware that a free trial is currently available on Xbox One and PS4. It will run until November 24.
