During the opening night of Gamescom, Nacon and Cyanide released the first official teaser trailer for the upcoming release of Blood Bowl 3, the video-game adaptation of Games Workshops popular tabletop sports strategy hybrid, Blood Bowl.
The rumors surrounding the release have been in full swing in recent weeks, after the official ruleset for the next version of the tabletop game leaked online. Unfortunately the new trailer doesn’t show much in terms of actual gameplay, but it does confirm that the game will launch with 12 different teams – including the Black Orc and Imperial Nobility teams already confirmed as the box teams for the new edition of Blood Bowl.
Furthermore, each team can expect far greater levels of support within the game itself. Each of the 12 teams at launch will have their own cheerleaders, stadium, campaign, and multiplayer modes. A drastic improvement on the limited selection currently in Blood Bowl 2.
Arguably, the most exciting aspect of the entire reveal, was a comment from developers Cyanide on the official Twitter account. A fan asked if cross-platform play was a possibility, and it’s definitely something being discussed.
