Watch Dogs 3 leak: title, location and more

They almost made it to the Ubisoft E3 2019 press conference without giving any concrete details about the highly anticipated Watch Dogs 3 title, but the leak strikes again.

Watch Dogs Legion

It seems that Amazon UK accidentally listed a game named Watch Dogs Legion, confirming the rumors of the plot of the sequel of Watch Dogs 2. London is now confirmed as the setting of the next game in the Watch Dogs series, which until now was only a rumor. Other outlets have confirmed the news citing internal sources and adding other pieces of information like the use of NPC technology that is causing the delays on the game and reporting that Clint Hocking, the Creative Director of Far Cry 2 is leading this new take on the open-world franchise. All the NPC will have a full backstory created by the AI with a full set of animations, voice over, character traits, and visuals, so you will be able to play as anyone.

According to the information on the Amazon site, Watch Dogs Legion takes place in the near future, in a dystopian London, where the No Deal Brexit has changed the society, politics, technology, and London’s fortunes. Considering that London is one of the Western cities with the highest camera surveillance levels in the world, it totally makes sense to locate in this city the latest scenario for the game. Ubisoft has always made great recreations of the cities in their games, and Chicago and San Francisco didn’t disappoint in the prior games, so it will be interesting to see their take on old Londinium.

Watch Dogs franchise moves to London

I wonder how they imagine the worst-case scenario a few years after a no-deal Brexit. We will have to wait until the Ubisoft conference at this years E3, which is only a few days away. Until then, we are waiting impatiently for more news!

Cuphead to be Playable in Tesla Cars

Tesla CEO Elon Musk revealed on episode 200 of my weekly Tesla podcast that Studio MDHR’s Cuphead will make its way to Tesla’s Model 3, Model S, and Model X cars.

According to Musk:

“Cuphead, we’ve got working, [The developers] have been helping us make it work. It’s a cool game. It’s insanely difficult. It’s sadistically difficult. It’s a twisted plot. It’s dark. It looks like some cute little Disney thing and you’re like, ‘This plot is very dark’.”

Studio MDHR’s Maja Moldenhauer added:

“When Tesla reached out to us to bring Cuphead to their vehicles, we were thrilled! Finding out that Mr. Musk was a fan of our game was extremely humbling and getting a chance to work with such an innovative company has been really exciting. We hope Cuphead can add some classic fun to such forward-thinking vehicles.”

Cuphead is a run-and-gun game that has players taking control of Cuphead and his brother Mugman that must repay their debt to the devil.

Protection For The Ultimate Data Storage

We are all dependent on data. No matter who we are, we rely on data to make it through the day. Data make the world go around nowadays.

We have so much data that we are always on the lookout for the best storage. One of the most common data storages for regular folks like you and me is a computer or laptop. There’s a lot of data, we just can’t live without, stored in our computer or maybe laptop. That’s just for regular folks like you and me.

Photographers and videographers need humongous data storage for all their work files. Data storage is an issue they face constantly. That’s why the G-Speed Shuttle with Thunderbolt seems to be the ultimate storage for them.

The G-Speed Shuttle with Thunderbolt a very interesting proposition, both for stills photographers and videographers. Yes, it is big, bulky and costly, but it’s as fast as a regular USB-C SSD drive and offers storage capacities you just don’t get with regular external drives.

(Via: https://www.digitalcameraworld.com/reviews/g-speed-shuttle-4bay-thunderbolt-3-16tb-review)

While it seems to be a costly solution for a huge data storage, it might just be the ultimate data storage photographers and videographers are looking for.

Photographers are always running out of storage space, and there can’t be many of us who don’t need an external drive to supplement the computer’s internal storage.

The traditional choice is to pick an external hard drive, but even the best portable hard drives are pretty slow for bulk image transfers and video editing, and while regular desktop hard drives are faster, even these have their limits. Another option is to invest in SSD (solid state storage) instead, but while this is super-fast, it’s also super-expensive. There is a third option – a desktop RAID system like the G-Technology G-Speed Shuttle.

(Via: https://www.digitalcameraworld.com/reviews/g-speed-shuttle-4bay-thunderbolt-3-16tb-review)

According to Digitalcameraworld.com, its huge potential storage is ideal for speedy transfer of data and data redundancy. The G-Speed Shuttle with Thunderbolt is also portable, which makes it very convenient for photographers on the go.

If you’re familiar with RAID, then you’re probably intrigued at how such system can fit into one portable hardware. If you’re not familiar with RAID, then it’s time you learn more about it. Since the G-Speed Shuttle is a desktop RAID system, then it’s definitely the kind of data storage that’s worth looking into. A portable RAID system sounds awesome.

RAID stands for Redundant Array of Independent Disks. A RAID drive gets a series of disk drives working together to offer more capacity, higher speeds and data ‘redundancy’ to allow for disk failures. There are different types of RAID setup – the G-Speed Shuttle uses RAID 5, which means your data is safe if one of its four drives fails.

(Via: https://www.digitalcameraworld.com/reviews/g-speed-shuttle-4bay-thunderbolt-3-16tb-review)

So, since the G-Speed Shuttle runs on RAID, it guarantees some kind of data protection as well. When it comes to storage capacity, here’s what the G-Speed can offer you.

Not surprisingly, RAID systems come in pretty big boxes. These not only have to hold all the disk drives but the power supply and various other data control hardware. The G-Speed Shuttle also needed a driver download for use on our test computer, but that was straightforward.

Hitman 2 gets Bank DLC in June

The roadmap for Hitman 2 is here. IO Interactive has announced their plans for the next adventures of Agent 47, revealing the first brand new location that will be added to the game as DLC that will arrive on June 25. This new content will feature an all-new campaign mission entitled Golden Handshake, a sandbox playground that will give players opportunities to make good use of their imagination to eliminate their targets in the most creative ways. After all, devising new ways of getting rid of your target is one of the most fun aspects of Hitman 2.

Hitman 2 – Roadmap

The Bank DLC comes as part of the Hitman 2’s Expansion Pass content, which has already had added a new Sniper Challenge mission as well as other different contents to the game since it was released last year. To make it more interesting, players who own the Expansion Pass will also get two new Special Assignments added to the game on the same day, which will modify existing levels in interesting ways to encourage you to go back and replay them with a whole new twist. Mumbai and Santa Fortuna are the first two maps to get these changes, with the Embrace of the Serpent and Illusions of Grandeur missions.

As part of the Legacy Pack, two of the previous game’s elusive targets (the guru and the congressman) will be returning to Sapienza on June 7. Also, there will be a new escalation contract called The O’Leary Conflagration that’s all about messing with Helen’s Muffin Kitchen and will probably involve burning a whole lot of people to death. That’s due on June 13 and it will be free to everyone. It will be followed by another escalation called The Unpalatable Termination on June 20, and new featured contracts with the theme of Assassin’s Greed. Finishing those will unlock the handyman toolbox. June 27 brings yet another escalation, The Aquatic Retribution (a trip to the aquarium, apparently) and finally on June 29, another legacy elusive target: Mr. Giggles, the entertainer, will be back in Marrakesh.

As you can see Agent 47 is getting a busy summer, so if you are up for all those new missions you just have to visit our comparator to get Hitman 2 at the best price if you don´t have the game yet.

Nelly Cootalot: Spoonbeaks Ahoy! HD Review

A lot has happened since 2007, but the swashbuckling adventures of Application Systems Heidelberg’s 12-year-old title Nelly Cootalot: Spoonbeaks Ahoy! still ring true today. Remastered in HD and featuring a number of quality of life improvements, does this 2019 rendition of the game have the mettle to save the day?

Nelly Cootalot: Spoonbeaks Ahoy! HD Review

The story of the clever pirate Nelly Cootalot starts on the high seas, when she is visited by the ghost of Bloodbeard the pirate. There’s trouble afoot on the Barony of Meeth – the spoonbeak birds have gone missing, and it’s up to Nelly to solve the mystery behind it all.

Nelly isn’t your typical grog-chugging scallywag though – she’s witty, cunning, and knows what she wants. As players progress through this point-and-click adventure game, they’ll come across a lot of barriers that must be overcome. Whether it be a crooked “Hook-a-Duck” game, a zombie monkey that’s in a trance, or finding the right tattoo, Nelly’s the girl for the job.

As one can tell from these tasks, the writing is as quirky as it is original. Some jokes miss the mark, but the solid voice acting and charming art make this title shine. It’s not overly detailed, but the art direction here has a personality all its own. By the end of this tale, players will have enjoyed their time with this red-haired gal.

Those looking for challenging puzzles will most certainly find them here. Though there is a hint function that shows players exactly what objects they can interact with, some of the logic at play here is on the obtuse side. Some may consider it a relic from days gone by, but there is some trial and error in place here that drags things on for far longer than they have any right to. When paired with the different items in your inventory, it can be tricky to figure out what goes where or which things can be combined.

The same goes for its dialog. It can be entertaining to talk to the outlandish locals that make up this island, but sometimes the right option is buried in a dialog tree, or the person must be spoken to multiple times. It’s not terrible, but it’s not the most streamlined process either.

Navigation is easy with a map that marks out different places to go. It can be easy to get from one area to another by simply clicking around, and using the mouse for most major functions gets the job done.

When all is said and done, expect to play Nelly Cootalot’s adventure for around two and a half hours. There are a handful of achievements tied to the game, but knowing the solutions to the puzzles does hamper additional playthroughs.

Nelly Cootalot: Spoonbeaks Ahoy! HD proves that charm does not age, but some of the gameplay mechanics in this point-and-click adventure are a little long in the tooth. Those that can overcome this facet will have a great time on this swashbuckling adventure.

This review of Nelly Cootalot: Spoonbeaks Ahoy! HD was done on the PC. The game was purchased digitally.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, more details unveiled

After the initial announcement of the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, information keeps coming. The new installment in the Call of Duty series is creating a great expectation among the public in general and more specifically between the fans of the franchise. Most of those consider Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 to be one of the best games in the series, a fact that is backed by its awesome numbers at launch that made it the largest retail release in Activision’s history and the industry’s history.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare – Nighttime assault

We already talked a bit about the announcement of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare in a recent article, but a few days have passed, and the game continues being a hot topic. Among the new revelations about the game, a very interesting one is the fact that Infinity Ward has decided to remove Zombies mode from this installment. This mode has been a regular in the latest Call of Duty games, but it seems that it doesn’t mix well with the developer´s intentions of creating a gritty and realistic game. Campaign gameplay director Jacob Minkoff explained it in an interview:

“We’re trying to create an authentic, realistic feeling world. We don’t have the flexibility to do something like put zombies in the game. That would compromise the feeling of playing in a world that feels realistic and authentic and relative to today’s conflicts and things we face.”

It makes a lot of sense. Even if the Zombies mode are a lot of fun and they have become a staple addition to the Black Ops series created by Treyarch, it´s true that it has absolutely nothing to do with real conflicts in a modern scenario. Lately, most FPS franchises have decided to adapt their world and incorporate different modes that may or may not have something to do with the original gameplay and story of a certain game. You can find battle royale and zombies in games whose predecessors offered nothing similar. It’s normal that you try to please the players and adapt to what they like, but in some cases, it drives your game very far from its initial premises. It´s good to see a developer that wants to put effort into improving the strong points and qualities of a game, instead of using others’ ideas to deliver “their version of Fortnite.”

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare

It makes even more sense if we take into account that Minkoff has also revealed that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare campaign and cooperative gameplay will be tightly linked.

“We’re not ready to talk about cooperative play yet, but what I will tell you is that the single-player storyline goes directly into the co-op storyline. No stop. The events just continue. So those elements – gameplay, progression, story – they just continue throughout everything that we have on the disc or digital download. Knowing that we needed to keep it more similar across the different modes, we decided to really lean into that, and make it completely continuous.”

It’s quite obvious that Infinity Ward is aiming to deliver a realistic and consolidated gaming experience with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Or at least, …
