Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers, release date, new jobs, new races and more!

Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers, the third expansion of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn will launch on July 2, 2019, but if you preorder you can get in early starting on June 28. All preorders come with the Baby Gremlin Minion and Aetheryte Earring (which offers a 30% EXP bonus up to level 70).

This expansion will pick up where Stormblood ended, with Zenos Yae Galvus, the final boss of Stormblood, so expect an epic battle between him and your character that possibly will trigger an apocalyptic calamity. You will travel to the First, an alternate dimension from Eorzea, where light has overcome darkness, disrupting the balance. To save the First, you must become a Warrior of Darkness and restore that balance. Minfilia, a young girl under the protection of Thancred, will appear with several other recurring characters that will also be taking on new jobs or intriguing new titles.

Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers also includes tweaks to existing jobs, the game’s battle system, and the UI, as well as better pet controls, the possibility of removing main attribute materia and the introduction of a better-defined interrupt system. Every job has been looked at – Machinist is to be completely reworked, for instance – while all healers and tanks have been balanced. Side quests in Shadowbringers’ regions will be level-synced to have more ways to gain experience when leveling additional jobs. Meanwhile, FATEs will offer extra rewards in addition to experience points. You can acquire unique tokens that can be spent at region-specific vendors to purchase minions, items, crafting materials, and orchestrion rolls.

Two new jobs and two new races will be added in this expansion. The Viera, a rabbit-like and female only people, and the Hrothgar race, fierce beasts that are male only,  will join the multitude of races to choose from in the game.

TheGunbreaker is a tank in plate armor, master of the Gunblade. You’ll have a single target and area of effect rotation for tanking, in addition to other damage mitigation skills. As a unique mechanic, you can load cartridges into your Gunblade after completing certain attack combos. These can then be unloaded to weave in several special attacks during combat to dish out more damage or help you hold aggro better.

Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers – Swordbreaker

The Dancer is a ranged DPS that also can play a support role. Mini-games that task you with matching dance moves on the screen will activate your buffs. You can partner with other group members to share those benefits as well as other temporary boons that can improve damage, defense, and more.

As you can see Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers is bringing a lot of nice changes and improvements to the game, and we bet that it will also be full of surprises for both new and old players.

E3 Show Floor First Impressions

Story 328387084

This past week, I had the pleasure of being on the show floor of E3 and experiencing a vast array of content for the first time ever. Without wasting your time, these are all the titles I experienced, including a little first impression for each:

Biomutant Cover Art

BIOMUTANT

Developer: Experiment 101

Publisher: THQ Nordic

I remember first seeing Biomutant in 2017, and my interest was piqued. The furry main character and the opportunity to explore with him through a detailed open world had me wanting more. I keep a list of games handy on my phone complete with titles I’m excited for and their respective release windows. Biomutant was once a part of that list, but it slowly faded to the background of my attention. Getting to play it at E3 was good for me, because now I know I can spend my money elsewhere.

The game suffers greatly from its uninspired combat, the dry narration, an unintuitive user interface, etc. The main boss fight has a few neat concepts integrated into it, but overall, it was simply bland. The boss itself is unmemorable. The most memorable part is being eaten by it and having to crawl your way out, but this is such a short part of the fight. This can sum up just about any enemy encounter from what I played as well. Quite mediocre.

Borderlands 3 Cover Art

BORDERLANDS 3

Developer: Gearbox Software

Publisher 2K Games

Ho-ly crap! Easily my most anticipated game of 2019, and the demo at E3 did it a lot of favors. I played as Zane, and boy, was I impressed with the extra polish that went into this. Borderlands 3 serves as the sequel to end all sequels (well, until Borderlands 4 comes out). At the end of the day, a good sequel takes the crap out of the previous game and builds upon the quality that’s left. Gearbox gets this so well. Borderlands 3 is Borderlands 2 with a more friendly UI, sliding (!), some amazing brand-new weapons, more variety and freedom with your action skills, and some killer boss battles. In all these ways, Borderlands 3 really serves as the antithesis to Biomutant. September 13… September 13… September 13…

Luigi entering hotel

LUIGI’S MANSION 3

Developer: Next Level Games

Publisher: Nintendo

This was my first time getting hands-on with a Luigi’s Mansion game, and it’ll probably be my last, but not for the reasons you may think. At the end of the day, the game is exceptionally polished. The game has tons of secrets and ways to explore. The addition of Gooigi not only gives another dimension to gameplay, but it gives a great portal to a friend through co-op play. The aggressiveness of the ghosts at times makes for an interesting challenge. The levels are thoughtfully designed with plenty of visual clues to help you solve puzzles, navigate the hotel, and find secrets. Unfortunately, the button layout makes no damn sense! This was a pain in the ass to play for just twenty minutes. While trying to use your flashlight to stun ghosts, you have to try and rotate your character using the right stick. This takes both hands. However, the ghosts move (duh), so you must …

Change And Reset Password On Your Mac Computer

Need to change your Mac password? If you need to, don’t worry. You can easily do it.

Changing your password from time to time is important. It actually is a good practice to change your password regularly. Of course, you just have to remember it. If you forget it, there’s still no reason for you to worry. You can easily change and reset your password on your Mac computer.

Here’s are the simple steps that can help you change the password in your Mac computer.

If you know your password, you can login to your account and reset it with a few easy steps.

1. Log into your Mac.

2. Open the Apple menu (the Apple logo at the top-left of your screen) and choose “System Preferences.” You may also have it pinned to your menu bar (it’s a gray gear).

3. Click “Users & Groups.”

4. Select your user account on the left of the box and click the padlock in the bottom left to make your changes.

5. Click “Change Password.”

6. Enter your current password, your new password (twice) and a hint to help you remember your password (don’t make it too obvious). Click “Change Password” to complete the process.

Changing password is a lot different from resetting it. To say the least, the latter leaves you clueless as to what your password is. You really have no idea what it is but you shouldn’t worry about it. You can always reset your password but before you do so, keep this in mind.

Before you attempt to reset your password, check that you’re typing the correct upper and lower case letters and that Caps Lock isn’t turned on. Your password field may also have a question mark, which will display a password hint when clicked.

It’s not just your mom or grandma who usually forgets passwords. Everybody forgets passwords. When you do forget yours,  you can refer to these simple steps to reset.

There are two ways you can reset your Mac password. First of which is by using your Apple ID.

You may be able to reset your password using your Apple ID.

1. To trigger this option, keep entering passwords until you’re given the prompt that you can reset your password using your Apple ID.

Note: If you don’t see this message after 3 or more password attempts, then you don’t have this option and will have to try another method.

2. Click the arrow next to the prompt message and enter your Apple ID.

3. Create a new password and password hint.

4. Restart your Mac and log in using the new password.

You can also use your admin user to reset your Mac password.

If you’ve got multiple users on your Mac, and one of them is an admin, then you can log into that account and use it to reset your password.

1. Log into the admin user account.

2. Open “System Preferences” from the Apple menu or on your menu bar (it’s a gray gear).

3. Click “Users & Groups.”

4. Click the lock symbol and enter the admin name and password.

5. Select the name of the user

Insurgency: Sandstorm, a new update and a free weekend are incoming

Released in December 2018, Insurgency: Sandstorm is an FPS that allows you to take part in fights in today’s fictional conflicts. Wanting to be immersive and realistic, Insurgency: Sandstorm bases its gameplay on skill and teamwork.

While New World Interative announced a few days ago its roadmap for the months of July to December, Insurgency: Sandstorm will benefit from an update that brings new free content, just to keep you busy until July. And to take advantage of this update 1.3, nicknamed by the studio “monster update”, you won´t have to wait very long, since it will be deployed today at 23h, Paris time.

Insurgency: Sandstorm – Roadmap for the coming months

This update brings a new version of the Ministry map, a new arcade mode, called Frenzy, inspired by zombie fashions, but also two assault rifles with improvements. Those rifles are the QBZ-03 Chinese assault rifle, with TAR-21 optics, and the Croatian VHS-2 and its MRO “Micro Red Dot” optics.

On top of that, Insurgency: Sandstorm will also be free for a whole weekend. From the 20th to the 24th of June you will be able to enjoy all that the game has to offer for free.

It seems that Insurgency: Sandstorm is made to last, and New World Interative actively supports its endgame. Indeed, the game had already benefited from a free update last month, which brought among other things, a new map, a competitive mode, weapons, and customization options. And the studio is not finished, because the roadmap for the next months announces plenty of new content. In the program, we have a new snow map, as well as another map still unknown, “night” versions for current maps, a level editor and tools for modding, new weapons and improvements, including night equipment, a PvP mode, Frontline, and a Co-op mode, Outpost, hardcore rules for all game modes, and new elements of customization.

Insurgency: Sandstorm is only available on PC right now, but it should arrive to PS4 and Xbox One this year.

Fallout 76’s Battle Royale mode is here to stay

It´s well known that Fallout 76 has had a very rough start since it was released on November 14th, but Bethesda may have unexpectedly found the solution for their shooter with the release of a Battle Royale mode. Nuclear Winter was announced for the first time at the E3, but what started as a “pre-beta” is now going to be extended indefinitely due to the good response of the players.

Nuclear Winter initially started as a week-long preview of what a Fallout 76 Battle Royale mode where up to 52 players could take part in battles for survival to become the last man standing. The mechanics of those matches are similar to the ones seen in most of the titles in the shooting genre right now. Just imagine those battles but Fallout style featuring things like nuclear bombs, C.A.M.P.S. and mutants. As you gain experience and progress through the ranks unlocking different rewards. Does all of this sound familiar to you?

But what started as a test that was supposed to end today has been confirmed to stay indefinitely as a Fallout 76 feature. This has been confirmed as an update in the official blog of the game.

We’ve been blown away by the reactions and responses we’ve been seeing all week to Nuclear Winter. It has been so amazing to read all your experiences and see everything you’ve been sharing. There are so many incredible up-and-coming Overseers! Vault 51 is lucky.

With all the excitement and popularity, we wanted to let you know that the pre-beta sneak peek of Nuclear Winter will remain on and continue to receive updates, so keep sharing your feedback. There’s more to come! Thank you again for playing, sharing, and being the best community there is.

Fallout 76 – Nuclear Winter

The announcement is definitely good news for everyone that bought the game and is enjoying this new mode, and probably for all the players that decided that Fallout 76 was not something for them after buying the game and may give another try to it now. After all, it seems that Bethesda is putting some effort into trying to make Fallout 76 what it should have been from the start, even if it means that the game has to do like other games before and add a Battle Royale mode that wasn´t intended to be there. If it worked for Battlefield V, why wouldn’t it work for Fallout 76?

Cyberpunk 2077, latest news

While we still have to wait until April 16, 2020, to play Cyberpunk 2077, we are slowly getting more information about the game and its gameplay.

In an interview given by quest designer Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz, he said that the content would not be locked depending on which character you play as, but to see everything you’ll likely need to play more than once. Of course, the real gem from this interview comes when the interviewer asks: are there multiple endings? And he receives a very straightforward answer: “yes, there are.” It sounds like we will enjoy playing Cyberpunk 2077 multiple times, and we can choose how we play the game, as stealth or brute force are options, but you can also finish the game without having to kill anyone.

Can you get out of this situation just by talking?

One interesting feature is the chip that V has, that will translate certain languages on the fly as you encounter them, and that happens live on screen as you watch the subtitles change into English. CDPR stated you’ll unlock more languages as you progress rather than having to buy them individually, essentially gating parts of the world off with a literal language barrier.

Cyberpunk 2077 lead quest designer Pawel Sasko explained at the E3 that the flying vehicles are all part of the scripted sequences, so while there are moments that V is in the flying vehicle, you will not be able to drive them. You will have to stick to ground vehicles.

“I would have to spoil you a bit of the story, I don’t want to, but there are moments when you are in the flying vehicle, but you cannot drive it yourself over the city. For that, you have all kinds of cars, all kinds of motorcycles. It feels pretty good, actually, to be honest.”

Regarding other vehicles, you won´t be able to drive boats either but it´s possible to take a dip into the water and go for a swim, so expect to find some quests related to that.

Cyberpunk 2077 – Driving

It’s also been revealed that we will have a lot of different areas to explore not only in Night City but also outside. As a player, it is also possible to start as one of the nomads living in the Badlands. You can go outside of Night City and explore the ruins of the area that was mostly destroyed after all the droughts and everything that happened in the 50 years from 2020 to ‘77. Exploring that area you will get specific quests and also open world content.

Cyberpunk 2077 is becoming more and more appealing as more info is revealed. We can’t wait to see more of the game in advance of what’s coming when it’s released next year.
