Planet Zoo Gets Launch Trailer

Designed from the same team behind Planet Coaster, Frontier Developments announced today that Planet Zoo is now available for the PC.

In this management title, players will traverse the globe and set out to build the most awe inspiring zoos. To really drive the experience home, more than 70 living animals who think, feel and explore will all make themselves home in these zoos. It’s a balancing act though – players must be mindful of animal welfare and conservation efforts, along with visitor enthusiasm.

Included in this title are Franchise, Career, Challenge and Sandbox Modes.

You can view the launch trailer below:

Planet Zoo | Launch Trailer

According to Game Director Piers Jackson:

“We’re delighted to release the next entry in the Planet series. Planet Zoo is very much a labour of love for the team after two and a half years of researching animal traits and behaviours and translating that into what we think is a deep and rewarding sim game. The reception from announce to beta to launch has been wonderfully affirming, and we’re all excited to see what players create.”

You can find our collection of guides for the game here.

How To Find What Food & Enrichment For All Animals In Planet Zoo

How To Find What Food & Enrichment For All Animals In Planet Zoo
Each animal is unique, requiring different types of food and enrichment. This guide explains How To Find What Food & Enrichment For All Animals In Planet Zoo as it’s an easy feature to miss and can be quite time consuming to find out what each animal needs. I’ll use my wonderful Ebun Plains Zebra as a reference for this guide. As you can see, she’s not very happy at the moment.

You can see in the animal tab she has some serious Enrichment problems. It lists Species Food Enrichment and Species Toy Enrichment as the primary issues, but it doesn’t tell you exactly what the animal needs. Thankfully, there’s an easy-to-use search feature that answers those questions.

How To Find What Food & Enrichment For All Animals In Planet Zoo

How To Find What Food & Enrichment For All Animals In Planet Zoo
Open the Habitat section and then, on the left side, choose any specific category you want. For this example, I chose “All”. Then, you want to type the name of the animal into the small search box. This brings up all items in that particular category that work with that animal. You can also see the animals name in the tag box, this indicates that the animal will benefit from this item.

Using this same method, you can learn what food or enrichment any animal needs throughout the entire game.

How To Raise Barriers & Fences In Planet Zoo

How To Raise Barriers & Fences In Planet Zoo
Want to increase the height of your enclosure walls? This guide explains How To Raise Barriers & Fences In Planet Zoo as it’s a vital aspect of certain enclosures. After all, you wouldn’t want your tigers leaping the fence and having face-to-face introductions with your visitors.

Not all animals require high fenced enclosures. Some, like the Tortoise, don’t have much of a jump ability so you don’t need to increase the height for all enclosures. Check the animal information tab and look under the enclosure stat to ensure the fences are the appropriate height.

How To Raise Barriers & Fences In Planet Zoo

Double click one part of the fence surrounding the enclosure. That brings up a small on-screen menu. You have an up and down arrow, triangles to the left and right, and a + in the center. Press the triangle button, this selects the next bit of fence (you can also click and drag), do this until the entire closure is selected.

Once the entire enclosure is selected press and hold on the up and down arrow. Now you can simply drag up or down to increase or decrease the height of the entire enclosure.

Where To Find Komodo & Other Digital Deluxe Animals In Planet Zoo

Where To Find Komodo & Other Digital Deluxe Animals In Planet Zoo
The Digital Deluxe Edition includes Komodo Dragon’s, Gazelles and a Hippopotamus, but finding them may be an issue. This guide explains Where To Find Komodo & Other Digital Deluxe Animals In Planet Zoo as it’s easy, but not working as intended.

Several users have reported a problem with the Digital Deluxe Edition aspects of Planet Zoo. The Digital Deluxe doesn’t completely download, meaning the Digital Deluxe animals that are part of the special bundle don’t appear in game. Firstly, make sure that your download is entirely complete and is installed.

Where To Find Komodo & Other Digital Deluxe Animals In Planet Zoo

If your Digital Deluxe content is already installed, you should find the DLC in the same place as all the other animals in the game, the Animal Trading post. It’s worth noting that during certain earlier tutorial missions, the animals may not be available.

If you still cannot find the DLC animals, it’s very likely you are currently suffering another known bug. Navigate to the Zoopedia, it’s in the upper left, the small paw icon. Check the Zoopedia, if the Komodo Dragon and other animals are not listed in your Zoopedia, that is currently a known bug. Unfortunately, there is no know fix player-side at the moment so you’ll have to wait for Frontier Developments to release a full fix.

BioWare focuses on the new Dragon Age to forget about Anthem

BioWare has changed a lot since they launched the original Baldur’s Gate, one of the most important role-playing games of all time. Its launch paved the way for plenty of memorable games in the story of the company, including Baldur’s Gate 2, Mass Effect series, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, and the Dragon Age series. Their experience developing outstanding role-playing games is shown in all those games, but it seems that when they have tried something different, the results have not been so great for them. This is the case of Anthem, which promised to be a reference in the genre of the action RPGs but that resulted in a product that has failed to satisfy the players. It’s not that the game itself is bad or anything, but it has been criticized for being somewhat repetitive, eventually leading to a shortage of players that made things very difficult for the game.

In an attempt to continue moving forward, BioWare has teased the fourth installment in the Dragon Age series.

Dragon Age series started with Dragon Age: Origins, one of the most praised role-playing games. With a great story, awesome visuals, great combat, and well-designed RPG mechanics, Dragon Age: Origins did set the foundations for the development of two sequels, Dragon Age 2 and Dragon Age Inquisition, that also were quite successful. Their different gameplay mechanics were not of the taste of all the followers of the series but the games are still fantastic pieces that every fan of the genre should have in their libraries.

Nothing has been revealed about Dragon Age 4 yet. Still, the 10th anniversary of the franchise seems to be more than enough reason for BioWare to put a lot of effort into delivering a masterpiece whenever the game launches, especially after what has happened with Anthem. We will have to wait until next December to see what they have in store for us.

The Textorcist Available on Mac App Store

Story 349250864

Back at this year’s PAX East, I got to play The Textorcist, Morbidware’s gothic fusion of bullet hell and typing game. You can read more in the linked article, but to summarize, you have to both type out various words and sentences to deal damage to opponents while simultaneously navigating around danmaku-style bullets to preserve HP. There’s a variety of obstacles to face during battles as well, such as the words to type being obscured, giving each battles a unique challenge. The Textorcist initially released back in February on Steam, and publishers Headup are bringing it to the Mac App store, making it available to apple users as of today.

There’s an early-adopter discount for those who buy the game within the first few days, making it cost only $11.99 before Friday. After Friday, it will return to its normal price of $14.99. The App Store version contains all content updates, so you won’t be missing anything when you buy it. The Textorcist opened to great reviews, and is currently sitting at a 79 on metacritic and a “very positive” steam rating, so if you’re interested in bullet hells and/or typing games, this one is definitely worth a look.

Luigi’s Mansion 3 Review

Luigi’s Mansion 3 brings the series back to a home console, complete with online mechanics. Is the game worth a playthrough, or should you check out something a bit scarier? Check out this review for our thoughts.

Luigi’s Mansion 3 Review

Luigi’s Mansion 3 starts with Luigi, Mario, Princess Peach, and three Toads going to a hotel named The Last Resort. The group was invited by the hotel’s current owner, Hellen Gravely. Shortly after arriving, things take a turn for the spooky as everyone heads to their rooms to rest. Suddenly Peach screams, and Luigi is woken up from his slumber. The hotel has changed appearances and now has a foggy floor, creepy balloons, and crows looking through the windows.

After looking for his group, Luigi runs into Hellen – who is now a ghost – and she has an old friend of Luigi’s: King Boo. Boo has trapped everyone in paintings, and Luigi is next on the list. With a quick escape, Luigi drops down a laundry chute and finds the Poltergust. The Poltergust is basically a vacuum that you use to suck up ghosts and money. With your new equipment, you muster up the courage to climb the hotel and find your friends. The campaign will run you 8-10 hours, depending on how good you are at puzzles.

As you climb the hotel, you will run into new ghosts, new challenges, and Poltergust upgrades. Fighting the ghosts is simple: You need to blind them and stun them to suck them up. As you progress, they will get sunglasses, helmets, and other items to prevent you from blinding them right away. To help out with these annoyances, you can slam the ghosts into each other and weaken them, making them easier to defeat. I thought the slamming mechanic might get annoying, but it’s handy in the later parts of the game. While you won’t struggle with the rank and file, some of the bosses can bring the heat.

Luigi's Mansion 3 Honest game Review

To get to the higher floors, you will have to beat a boss and get their elevator key. Each boss typically brings with them something new that you used on their floor. For instance, the garden boss has a plant that oddly enough is not a piranha plant that chomps at you. You have to use the weed whacker mechanic you learned on the floor to defeat that boss. Most of them are fine, but there is one where you are in a raft that is terrible. The controls feel like they are inverted, and you can’t switch them; it really hurt the experience for me. Another annoyance is when Luigi loses the key after beating the boss. It happens multiple times, and each time is more annoying than the last.

The crux of the gameplay in Luigi’s Mansion 3 is exploring and puzzle-solving. If you are not a puzzle gamer, this one might not be for you. The puzzles are not overly challenging, though sometimes you will be stumped for a minute or two. The way the game gets you is by using a mechanic you haven’t used in a while. You will find yourself going “oh duh” a few times before the adventure is over. The other thing you …

Diablo IV is unveiled at BlizzCon 2019

BlizzCon 2018 kind of disappointed some players with its announcements. Being mainly focused on the arrival of WoW Classic and Warcraft III Reforged, fans of other Blizzard licenses felt somewhat left out.

But it seems that Blizzard has decided this year not to disappoint the players again, and it came up with several major announcements, including Overwatch 2, and that which interests us here, the long-awaited Diablo IV.

This announcement had been foreseeable for some time, especially because of a recent advertisement in the German magazine Gamestar with an artbook incorporating images of Diablo, Diablo II, Diablo III, and Diablo IV, but the thing is now official.

We were able to learn a little more about the next title in the Diablo series. In the cinematic trailer of ten minutes, we discover the enemy to whom we will obviously deal in this new game: Lilith. Also called The Daughter of Hatred, she is none other than the daughter of Mephisto, and creator of humanity. In addition to this cinematic that has made us all excited, some elements on the gameplay have also been revealed.

Diablo IV will feature five different classes at its release, but only three of them have been revealed so far: the Barbarian, the Sorceress, and the Druid. It will be possible to customize the appearance of our characters, but also their skills, with a talent tree in the manner of Diablo II. The Rune System of Diablo III does not seem to have been abandoned either, and it seems that Diablo IV features a combination of the two systems. We will be able to roam freely through the open world of Sanctuary, which will be divided into five regions: Scosglen, Fractured Peaks, Arid Steppes, Hawezar, and Kehjistan. We can also traverse the world of Diablo IV with the help of mounts. Finally, we are promised “hundreds of dungeons,” and the opportunity to play both PvE and PvP.

This is of course only a summary of the main features of the game, and we can not wait to learn more. Even though all this looks very promising, we have no date or release window for the moment. We will probably have to be patient because the developers said that Diablo IV is only at the beginning of its development.
