EA games are back on Steam

At the time the news made a lot of noise. In 2011 Electronic Arts announced that it was leaving Steam to create its own platform which we all know today, Origin. If the case was so commented, it was mainly because of the withdrawal of Crysis 2 from Valve’s platform, something that displeased a lot of players.

The rumors about a new rapprochement between EA and Valve have been circulating for a while, and they have culminated with the announcement of the return of EA games on Steam. Well, it’s now done, or almost done, because the news was confirmed yesterday. Ben Walke, Global Community Lead for Dice and EA, revealed it on Twitter.

We also got to know through this tweet that the first game of EA’s catalog to join Steam will be Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, which will be released on November 15th. The game already has its own page on Valve’s platform, and pre-orders are open. Other titles will soon take the same path, EA announces The Sims 4 and Unravel Two as “coming in the following months” and for 2020, Apex Legends, Battlefield V and FIFA 20, among others. The EA Access service launched in 2014 will also be available on Steam, while Origin Access Premier will remain exclusive to Origin.

Following this announcement, many players have wondered whether it would be possible to migrate its Origin games to Steam. It will not be the case, so you must keep Origin if you already have games on the platform. On the other hand, EA declared that the cross-platform was in progress and that it will be possible to play with your friends, whatever your platform is.

Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts’ features have been detailed ahead of launch

There are many shooters that focus on sniping out there, but Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts aims to mark a difference with them by offering the most real and exciting sniping experience. Not only it features shooting mechanics that take into consideration crucial factors like wind speed, elevation, and bullet drop, but the game also allows you to experience the pressure of moving behind enemy lines.

In Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts, you will play as a mercenary who is in charge of eliminating a certain number of targets scattered through a variety of military outposts in Syberia. As you explore one of the regions with the most extreme conditions in the whole world, you will have to look for information to locate your targets, plan how to get rid of them, and then execute a flawless assassination before continuing with your mission. Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts features 25 challenging contracts that will yield a respectable amount of cash if you accomplish them, including bonuses for your performance.

Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts puts at your disposal a large arsenal of sniper rifles, but also assault rifles and pistols. You will have to infiltrate guarded areas, and sneaking will not always be possible. You are adept at close combat and able to execute silent takedowns, but sometimes things don’t go according to the plan and you may have to create an exit shooting. Even though you are the best in your trade, you are not the only paid assassin, and people like you could have been hired to defend your objectives. That implies you will have to be very careful with your planning and consider all kinds of possibilities, adding an extra layer of difficulty to your mission.

Dragon Ball Z Kakarot shows its gameplay in a new video

If you like Japanese anime and manga or you grew up in the nineties, it´s almost guaranteed that you know who Son Goku is and what is Dragon Ball Z. Even though the story of Goku on his search for the Dragon Balls starts with him as a child, it is the second part of the series from Akira Toriyama that Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot focuses on. The part of the story that starts with the arrival of Raditz to the Earth and sheds a bit of light over the origins of our protagonist covers a few story arcs with some of the most impressive battles of the whole series. The fight with Frieza for the destiny of planet Namek, the climax of the android’s story with the final fight against Cell, and the epic battle against the almighty Majin Buu will be present in the game.

But Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is more than just a fighting game based on the series. It’s also a role-playing game that will allow you to experience the whole story of Goku in that period. Not only you will be able to play as Goku and meet a whole cast of familiar characters of the Dragon Ball Z series, but you will be able to play as some of them too. In the following video, for example, you can watch some gameplay footage that culminates with Vegeta fighting against some Frieza Force Officers.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot undoubtedly is one of the most eagerly awaited Dragon Ball games. There are some role-playing adventures already, but those are mainly 2D titles. There are also quite a few fighting games for all platforms, Dragon Ball FighterZ is the most recent and spectacular. But no game gives you the opportunity of experiencing both things together yet. Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is the only game that offers you the best of both worlds, with exploration and RPG mechanics as well as combat that has nothing to be shy of if you compare it to the fighting games based on the series.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is officially slated to release for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on January 16, 2020. You can find the best prices to buy it anytime on our comparator.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Review

Infinity Ward and Activision hope to deliver a return to form for Call of Duty with the latest release of the franchise. Does the realistic and gritty approach provide enough of a fresh take on a stagnating genre, or is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare much more of the same?

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Review

Last year’s entry into the Call of Duty franchise, Black Ops 4, opted against including a campaign in favor of boarding the Battle Royal hype bus. Fortunately for fans of Call of Duty, and frankly fans of Battle Royal games, Infinity Ward opted to return to a single-player based campaign for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.

The campaign mode is dark, gritty, and realistic. Within the first few minutes, I’d witnessed several suicide bombings, dead police officers, and wounded soldiers. It hits you hard and fast, but it relies almost entirely on that unexpected level of realism throughout the experience. Hard-hitting scenarios and morally challenging situations do leave a lasting impact, but after a while, it just felt exhausting. I was maybe an hour or two into the campaign, and already I was just wanting to finish the whole thing so I could dive into the multiplayer.

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Review

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s campaign is a much needed and much welcomed return for the franchise, offering a short but intense and impactful campaign with enough depth and realism to leave a lasting impression. However, the real meat of the franchise has always been the multiplayer aspect.

The iconic multiplayer elements of Call of Duty return in epic fashion, boasting fast-paced first-person combat with meaningful and rewarding progression. There’s a host of different game modes, from standard Team Deathmatch to chaotic large-scale warfare in Ground War. Ground War is easily my favorite mode, boasting much larger maps with two teams of 32 players each fighting to control various points on the map.

While the actual combat of Ground War remains more arcade-like than simulation, the control points and various vehicles do add a much needed level of strategy in a game that is otherwise fastest-finger wins. If the frantic, fast-paced roots of Call of Duty are more your speed, there’s a selection of traditional match options, including Search & Destroy, Kill Confirmed, and the likes of Demolition and Defender to come.

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Review

Outside of the competitive multiplayer aspects of the game, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare also features a selection of cooperative modes. Survival is a wave-based mode that sees increasingly difficult waves of enemies assault you and your team, although it’s arguably one of the weakest modes in the game. The AI is poor, either operating on god-like or moronic levels of ability, the progression is unrewarding, and the enemy variety gets dull quickly.

Alongside Survival is a more iconic staple of Call of Duty, Spec Ops. It features a much more impressive layout and design, with more meaningful missions and objectives, with a few additional story treats thrown into the mix. Despite this, it suffers from many of the flaws present in any of the modes that rely on AI enemies. For a franchise of this pedigree, the AI is disappointing. It often spawns seemingly entirely at random, sometimes just a few feet from where …

Halloween Coming to Red Dead Online

Celebrate Halloween in Rockstar Games’ Red Dead Online with a scary new addition to its Showdown Mode, a corrupt Legendary Bounty, and a variant of the Freak Mask.

New to Red Dead Online’s Showdown Modes is Fear of the Dark. In this mode, supernaturally tough, fast and strong Night Stalkers face off against mortal Hunter counterparts. However, there’s a catch – the Night Stalkers’ powers are tied to the skull masks strewn about. The more masks collected, the weaker the Night Stalkers become and the stronger the Hunters’ own weapons grow.

Players will be able to jump into this mode from now through November 12, and can get themselves 3X Gold and 2X RDO$ through November 3. All those who win a round will receive an exclusive tint of the Freak Mask.

The lastest Legendary Bounty to grace Red Dead Online is the former mayor Tobin Winfield, who is guilty of years of embezzlement. All those looking to take him down best check around Thieves’ Landing.

New to the Wheeler, Rawson & Co. Catalogue is the Tobacco Hat, the Thacker Hat, the Torranca Coat, the Manstilla Poncho, the Creswell Skirt, the Sierra Boots, and the Pickett Boots. Collectors will also be able to get themselves a stipend from Madam Nazar by tracking down a new Weekly Collectible List, the Veteran’s Collection, consisting of the 1792 Quarter, Aubrey Onyx Ring, and Old Tom Gin.

Bonus-wise, players will be able to take 30% off all Machetes, Cleavers, Tomahawks and Throwing Knives.

For those looking for a new mask, Licensed Bounty Hunters can get an exclusive variant of the Creature Mask, Traders can get an exclusive Swine Mask, and Collectors can an exclusive Masquerade Mask for free. Note that those who achieve Tiers 10 and 20 of the Outlaw Pass can look forward to free and exclusive versions of the Freak Mask (Tier 10) and Horror Mask (Tier 20). Make sure to get them sooner rather than later though – these masks and the haunting collection are only available through November 3.

Finally, PlayStation Plus players have until November 4 to get an exclusive colorway of the Killiman Vest. All Red Dead Online players that connect their Social Club account with Twitch Prime can get themselves the Bounty Hunter license for free and an extra 10% off the melee weapon discounts previously listed.
