At the Gamescom 2019 in Cologne, Ubisoft is taking the opportunity to give players the chance to try one of their last titles, Anno 1800.
Released on April 16, Anno 1800 is the latest addition to the real-time management and strategy franchise Anno, which started more than 20 years ago. After spending some time in the future with Anno 2070 and Anno 2205, the series has returned to the roots with this latest opus.
If you have not yet had the chance to immerse yourself in the era of the Industrial Revolution, Ubisoft gives you the opportunity to do it for free with a limited duration free trial on PC via Uplay. You can now enjoy the first three levels of the sandbox mode as well as the multiplayer mode, until August 26 at 9am CEST.
But that’s not the only news about Anno 1800 that Ubisoft has revealed. We learned through a video that there is a second DLC called “Botanica” on the way and that it will be available on September 10. This DLC will add to the game a botanical garden to attract tourists and create floral compositions and also a musical pavilion, as well as many new items and rewards. In parallel, September 10 will also be the date of a free update that will introduce a day/night cycle to the game.
Finally, in this video we also discover the next DLC, “The Passage”, which should come out next winter. Very little information has been revealed about it but we know that it will let us conquer the Arctic and that will be able to create our own airship fleet.
As a reminder, Sunken Treasures, the first Anno 1800 DLC that was released on July 30, takes you to Cape Trelawney, a fertile island for all kinds of cultures. You can settle there, surrounded by many craftsmen, or go on an adventure in search of a scepter lost during a naval battle. The diving bell also allows you to find many treasures in the seabed.
Each Anno 1800 DLC is available separately, but you can also buy them all together with the Season Pass. As usual, to find Anno 1800 at the best price, you can visit our comparator.
