Making its debut during IGN’s Summer of Gaming, the Master System classic makes its return in Alex Kidd in Miracle World DX, courtesy of Merge Games and Jankenteam.
This release brings with it a brand new visual style, though a retro mode has been included for those wishing to seek out the classic Alex Kidd experience. This isn’t just a straight port though – new levels, modes, and alternative boss battles that are based closely on the original release will also be included.
The trailer, which can be seen below, showcases the aforementioned retro mode, along with some of its boss battles and the general gameplay it will feature.
