On May 14 we saw the release of the latest game from Asobo Studio, edited by Focus Home Interactive, A Plague Tale: Innocence. Although the game is not a triple-A it has great potential for those who love action-adventure games with an immersive story.

A Plague Tale: Innocence takes place in a very dark period in the history of France. In 1348, in the heart of the duchy of Guyenne, where the action takes place, the Black Death and the Hundred Years War are raging. Coming from a noble family, Amicia and her little brother Hugo are left to survive for themselves and flee the Inquisition.

A Plague Tale: Innoncence – The plague spares no one

We will not say more about the plot of the game to not spoil the surprise, especially as you can currently try for free A Plague Tale: Innocence. A demo is available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. It allows you to play the first of the seventeen chapters of the game. To download the demo, simply go to the game page in the store of your platform. The offer will be available until next Monday and during this period you will be able to take advantage of different deals for the game on different platforms.

Whether you are an amateur with this type of games or not, we advise you to try A Plague Tale: Innocence. The game was critically acclaimed when it came out, and it’s not for nothing. The artistic direction is fantastic in terms of a realistic environment; you will, for example, have to cross villages very typical of the French countryside of the Middle Ages. In terms of narration you will not be disappointed, A Plague Tale: Innocence being a tale as dreamlike as cruel as its name suggests. The soundtrack made by Olivier Derivière, whose music we could listen to in Vampyr or more recently in Greedfall, is beautiful. And the gameplay is not left behind, of course, since Amicia is not a fighter at heart, you will have to be ingenious to get rid of the terrible soldiers of the Inquisition, but also and especially the ubiquitous and deadly rats.

By the way, we advise you to be prepared, because A Plague Tale: Innocence is anything but a fairy tale.
