The legendary racing series Need For Speed returns with a new installment this year. Electronic Arts has announced that Ghost Games, creators of other titles in the franchise like Need For Speed Rivals and Need For Speed Payback are the ones in charge of developing Need For Speed Heat. The upcoming game will is set for a release on November 8th, 2019, on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 and you can watch the official reveal trailer below.

In Need For Speed Heat, you will race against the cops once more, this time through the streets of Palm City. The game will be split into two completely different parts. During the day you will take part in a sanctioned daytime competition called the Speedhunters Showdown. As you win races in this mode, you will earn enough money to buy different cars and customize them however you see fit to improve their looks and performance. This is an important part of the game that will get you ready for what’s coming during the night when you will take part in illegal underground races. This mode has an extra level of risk because if the cops bust you, they will be taking your hard-earned money.

Regarding gameplay, we expect Need For Speed Heat to offer you detailed visuals and lots of high-performance cars with a wider variety of customization options. The lack of customization options was something that players have openly complained about when talking about previous installments in the series and the developers have stated that they are “tuning up on every aspect” for this new game. Need For Speed Payback drew a lot of criticism for its microtransactions regarding this matter so we can only hope that you won’t have to pay to get our car to look cool this time.
